The government funds schools for teachers’ salaries and general operations. However, we find we have to raise money to supplement the purchase of resources to further enhance our classroom programmes.
We appreciate the support whanau/parents/caregivers provide through voluntary donations
It means children have access to a wider range of resources and facilities as a result of the school community’s efforts. We raise this money through:
- Family voluntary donations
- Fundraising activities
In past years, funds raised have helped with library books; purchasing computer laptops, iPads and digital cameras: and enhancing the school environment.
Currently the amount requested for family donations is
- $200 per child – discounted to $160 if paid before the end of Term 1
- $280 per family – discounted to $240 if paid before the end of Term 1
These donations may be paid as a lump sum or in instalments. Payments can be made direct to the school’s bank account , by cash or cheque to the school office.
